OUR PROGRAMS
At Discovery Child Care we have created a "hybrid" curriculum that operates from STEAM (STEM) + Traditional education. Our teachers and educators have experienced the “traditional” education system as students and educators. We believe that child care and school has evolved tremendously over the years and we wish to focus our curriculum and daily activities around; Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

Partnering with parents

Parent provider relationships are very important when it comes to creating an inclusive and effective curriculum for the children. Parent involvement helps extend teaching outside the classroom, creates a more positive experience for children and helps children perform better when they are in school.
Ways that Discovery Child Care and its staff support parents in parenting in their child are:

Creating a consistent schedule for children.

Inviting parents to provide feedback on lesson plans.

Invite parents to come to the classroom and learn more about our staff and teaching style.

Use these daily reports to outline their individual progress and offers a way for parents and educators to communicate and give feedback.

Introduction visit

In order to fully understand what Discovery Child Care offers; its important for you to visit and go over the policies and procedures guides and handbook.s
Every new family will be asked to visit Discovery Child Care at least one time prior to enrollment. The primary goal of this meeting is for administrators and staff to meet children and for parents to learn more about Discovery’s philosophy and care facility. Please call in advance to schedule a visit.
